Catalina Island Teen Camp 2010 Venue: We begin our summer camp adventure this year at our main campus, Cabrillo Beach Youth Center (mainland) the first night; Introduction & beach BBQ & swim tests the first afternoon and evening! Camp check-in will be at noon on Sundays (with the exception of July 4th). This San Pedro facility is located @ 3000 Shoshonean Rd. San Pedro, CA. We provide the tents they will be sleeping in the first night right on the beach! The next morning we have transportation arranged to get the group on Catalina Express boats which will take them directly to Two Harbors Catalina Island. Campers will also have the opportunity to spend their last night at Little Harbors campground, just ¾ mile from the Two Harbors campground! Sessions:
** Extended Teen Camp: 2 weeks on Island. July 11-16 in Two Harbors, July 17-23 in Little Harbor. * Extreme Sports Teen Camp: 1 weeks on Island. | The Three Expeditions: Campers will spend three days on the following safari's getting to know Catalina better than most of the island locals! Little Harbor Adventure — Campers will spend a full day on the windward side of the island enjoying the only "hot surf spot" on the island! We will surf, boogie board, snorkel and hang out on the white sandy beach (probably with a few island Buffalo)! Around the Island Expedition — We will be embarking on our MSA boats to explore several secluded coves, beaches and caves. Snorkel, swim and get some awesome pictures of marine wildlife (Garibaldies, bat rays, sea lions and more!). Marine Science Discoveries — Kayak to USC Marine Lab and discover their touch tank and snorkel with the leopard sharks. Spend the afternoon at Cat Harbor performing a beach seine bringing up rays, shovelnose guitar fish, gobies and shrimp. Extreme Sports : Trail behind a boat on a wakeboard or inner-tube! Free Time : SWIMMING - SNORKELING - TUBING - VOLLEYBALL - SCUBA - KAYAKING - RELAX ON THE BEACH Nightlife : CAMPFIRES - TRUST WALKS - NIGHT SNORKEL - LUAU - DANCIN' TO THE MOONLIGHT - GREAT FELLOWSHIP |
